If you make Globe trot to Spain in February 2011 it a point to the Galeria IL · lacions stop has the distinction of being Barcelona's first design gallery. Aiming to be an accessible platform for national and international designers and creators, the Gallery is a milestone in the history of Barcelona. Xavier Franquesa, one of the founding partners of IL lacions wanted · to capitalize on the design culture of Barcelona and therefore decided a gallery on similar lines to build that found in Paris, Prague and London. Is the Design Gallery debut with a steel furniture MSB Miquel Subiràs show that the principles of design and sculpture is mesh. The Gallery is just about the Museo de Arte Contemporáneo de Barcelona (MACBA), FAD and Centro de Cultura contemporanea (CCCB) is itself a feast for the eyes as it highlights include century old issue hydraulic tiles, layers of wall paper, pencil drawn graffiti and two steel cast columns restored.
Xavier Franquesa says:
"Barcelona is one of the most important European capitals by design." If London has four galleries there dedicated Paris has three or four, you do not have Praga ¿why..., we have a? From the moment a noisy wakes up to the point, where he goes to bed, he or she will be surrounded by design.
